ARGGHH! (Say it like a pirate) For the second year in a row the cold spring has delayed our strawberry harvest. Normally, by now, we have red, ripe strawberries, but, this year, the harvest is at least two weeks behind schedule. So, the earliest we'll see berries is June 10th. The plants are loaded and when they finally ripen it will be a banner harvest.
We've been harvesting wonderful red, romaine and green lettuce from a hoop houses. The rhubarb is still in season. We're planting like crazy. Thankfully, we have some higher ground that has dried out enough to that we can actually plow it without getting the tractor stuck in the mud like I did on the lower ground the other day.
Peony lovers. The peonies will be blooming in a week or two.

A favorite flower at the farm.
In season until the first week in June.
Please note that blackberries, marionberries, and raspberries are all harvested at about the same time. Typically late June to mid July. We do have some ever-bearing raspberries that extend their season into August.
